Carol I. Rada, 87, died peacefully on July 25, 2026. Originally from Chicago, IL, Carol and husband Ken owned a successful bakery in Berwyn, IL before semi-retiring to Peoria, AZ in 1984. Carol worked at Smitty’s until her retirement. After Ken’s passing in 2020, Carol moved to Loveland, CO where she lived her remaining years with her daughter.
Carol enjoyed knitting, traveling, golfing and playing poker. She regularly played pinochle with Ken, her in-laws and daughter and son in-law. She was active in the local Parkinson’s group and lovingly cared for Ken during his illness. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and could always be convinced to go out for breakfast.
A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her parents, and sisters. She is survived by her daughters Karen Bachmeyer (husband Randall), Christine Hare, Kathleen Widmann (partner Bruce) and Colleen Jabkowski (husband John); grandchildren Jeremy Widmann, Erika Widmann, Bernice Ana Jabkowski Martin, Kaitlin Bachmeyer, Eddie Hare and Wesley Hare; great-grandchildren Autumn, Margaret, Lydia, Jack, Hudson and Sonia. Her extended family mourns her passing but rejoices in the life she lived.
