Carol Lee Davis, age 71, passed away January 16, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Carol was born May 3, 1947 in La Junta, Colorado to Charles (Chuck) Davis and Nell Elizabeth Davis. She grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado and graduated from the first graduating class of Poudre High School in Fort Collins in 1965. She attended Colorado State University where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Carol later spent many years living in Brush, Colorado where she raised her two daughters. She was a past honored queen in Jobs Daughters and a past worthy matron in the Order of the Eastern Star
Above all, Carol was dedicated to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an Elvis fan and a talented craftswoman whose many talents included leatherworking and creating jewelry. She also had an interest in genealogy and enjoyed researching and documenting her family's history. Carol was an incredibly caring person and will be remembered by all for her big heart and deep love of her friends and family.
She leaves behind her daughters, Stacy Hodgson of Fort Collins and Jeri Hodgson Fleuter (husband Tim) of Brighton, Colorado, her grandchildren Tristan Teter (wife Monti), Lane Teter, Charles Fleuter and Mae Fleuter and her sister Cathy Davis of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her Father, Chuck Davis and on January 3, 2019 by her mother, Nell Davis.
A graveside memorial service to honor both Nell and Carol will be held on Friday January 25, 2019 at 10:00am at Grandview Cemetery. A celebration of their lives will continue with lunch at Club Tico in City Park at 12:30pm.
Carol was adored by all who had the privilege to know her and will be missed greatly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Animal House Rescue and Grooming, Fort Collins ( www.animalhousehelp.org ).
Details regarding the service on January 25, 2018:
Grandview Cemetery: The service will be held in Section 2, Plot 166- which is on the south side, nearest to the City Park golf course.
Club Tico: Lunch will be held at 1599 City Park Dr, Fort Collins, CO 80521 (near the swimming pool). There is parking available on the street in City Park and the building is handicap accessible.
