Carol L. Anderson, 98, died peacefully on February 7, 2013 surrounded by family. Carol was born December 12, 1914 in Devils Lake, North Dakota to Juna K. and Beattey E. Crippen. She grew up in Parshall, ND and graduated from Minot State Teachers College with degrees in English and Drama. Carol taught English in Carrington, ND, where she met Edward D. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She taught Sunday School for many years and was active in PTO at her children's schools. After raising her family, Carol enjoyed working at the Colorado State University Bookstore. She was active in St. Luke's Episcopal Church Women and volunteered for many years at St. Luke's Thrift Shop. In their retirement years, Carol and Ed participated in Community Bible Study together. Carol will be remembered for her love of flower gardening in her beautiful yard, and the fun she had feeding "her squirrels and birds" from the back porch. Surviving Carol are her husband, Edward; daughter, Karlin Lee Gray of Fort Collins, and son, Donald Lenore Anderson of Austin, TX. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. A Memorial Service celebrating Carol's life will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 2000 Stover Street on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions in Carol's honor may be made to St. Luke's Bach Festival in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
