Brian Patrick Oenning, son of Karen Ardueser Oenning of Fort Collins and Samuel Oenning of Ohio, passed away May 9, 2011 at Poudre Valley Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer. Brian was born in Fort Collins on May 4, 1982. He graduated from Poudre High School in 2000 and Front Range Community College in 2005 with an Associates Degree in Computer Science, and was in his junior year at Colorado State University pursuing a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Brian enjoyed fishing and being with family and friends. He was an avid movie buff and enthusiastic sports fan. He will be remembered for his positive attitude and outlook on life by his many friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Karen Oenning; grandmother, Esther Ardueser, aunts and uncle: Patricia Ardueser, Judith and husband, Del Callicotte of Utah, Peg Ardueser Rauenbuehler, Allan Ardueser both of Colorado, and numerous extended cousins and family. Those who wish may view Mr. Oenning from 12:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Brian at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, 531 South College Ave. Pastor Rich McDermott will officiate the service. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Roselawn Cemetery. Because of the love and compassion Brian was given during his illness by the Oncology Staff, the family would like to request any memorial contributions be directed to the PVH Foundation / Oncology Nurse Education Scholarship, in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
