Brent Swinson, son of Fred and Jean Ann Swinson, died early Sunday morning, April 23, 2006, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. Brent was born in Fort Collins on July 10, 1984. He moved with his family to Tucson, Ariz., in 1994. Brent graduated from Canyon del Oro High School in Tucson in 2003. Following graduation, he returned to Fort Collins, where he resided in the family home. As a child, Brent excelled in baseball, roller hockey and soccer. His eccentric ways provided humor for the family. He was a talented craftsman and created works of art with his hands. Brent enjoyed the outdoors, motor sports and woodworking. He was employed by Allen Plumbing in Fort Collins and participated in the management and maintenance of family-owned properties. His love of family, friends and animals was revealed in his everyday life. Although he was at times shy and timid, his humble, caring and charismatic personality drew people to him. Brent loved to be around people and was always willing to help out others whenever he was needed. Brent is survived by his parents, of Fort Collins and Tucson; brothers, Kent Swinson, of Manhattan, Kan., and Jerry Anthony Swinson, of Oro Valley, Ariz.; and sister, Christy Swinson, of Fort Collins. He was preceded in death by brother, Alex Swinson, of Tucson, Ariz. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Larimer County Humane Society and the Red Feather Lakes Community Library, in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
