Bob was born in Warren, Ark., on March 12, 1928, to Wallace Thomas and Valerie Marie Reynolds. He moved to Fort Worth, Texas, as a young boy. He later moved to Fort Collins in 1972 to open Scott Olds/Cadillac as general manager. One year later, he became the owner and changed the name to Reynolds Olds/Cadillac. His business philosophy was to start each day with a positive attitude and to treat all customers as if they were visiting his home. After selling the dealership in 1996, Bob still enjoyed the automobile business assisting the Dellenbach Family with many of his lifelong customers and friends. Bob always believed in giving to others, helping those in need, supporting area youth groups and Colorado State University athletics. He was instrumental in organizing the Rams Horn Club at Hughes Stadium, the golf tournament at Fox Acres that benefited the CSU football training table and the Tri-High Invitational Golf Tournament. He was a staunch supporter of Colorado State and was a Ram Club member for more than 30 years. Bob received the Larry Lasso Spirit Award from CSU, awarded the CSU Alumni Association's Distinguished Athletic Award and the CSU Golf Team's Honored Member Award in 2002. Bob was so proud of his family and cherished family times together. He celebrated his 80th birthday March 12, 2008, with many friends and family. Bob will be remembered for his generosity, his devotion to family and friends, and his courage throughout a series of health issues. He never gave up, never complained, setting such a tremendous example for all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover. The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation to a scholarship fund that will be started in his memory to benefit Colorado State University athletics.
