Blanca E. Perez

Blanca Estrella Perez, 67, of Laporte Colorado, passed away on April 26, 2023, after a battle with metastatic cancer. Her family is deeply saddened by her passing.

Estrella was born on October 11, 1955, in Brownsville, Texas. While she felt strongly connected to her family in Texas, she always considered Colorado her home. After graduating from Poudre High School, she went on to have a career working at Fish and Game, Poudre School District and Insurance Direct.

Estrella loved her family. They were her world. She married Ray June 26, 1982. She was blessed with two sons Joe and Ramon. Estrella dedicated her life to being a supportive and caring mother. Anyone who knew her was touched by her humor, kindness, and joy for cooking. She loved to feed her friends and family. When you walked through her front door you were always greeted with a smile and a delicious meal. Events were made special when Estrella was doing the cooking.

Estrella was preceded in death by her father, Enrique Torres, her sister Alina Torres, and brother Joey Torres. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, many close friends and loving family members, including her husband Ray, sons Joe and Ramon, Mother Rosario Torres, and brother Juan (Sue) Torres. She will be sadly missed by her little dog Mr. Jiggles.
