Billy Ray Hettinger, born November 20th, 1933 in Windsor, passed on to meet Jesus on November 5th. He was preceded by his wife, Lois (Comin) Hettinger.

Billy grew up in Severance and Eaton. He later served as a Marine in the Korean War and the occupation forces in Japan. He was awarded the United Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Billy and Lois married in Windsor, June 1955. They raised three sons, Raymond, James and David in Windsor.

He worked for US Steel and Kodak, where he retired. After moving to Fort Collins, he regularly volunteered his maintenance skills at churches and the YWAM Christian mission base in Kona, Hawaii.

Billy and Lois traveled the world together in retirement, with their visit to Israel being a highlight of his life. He was selected for the Veteran's Honor Flight to Washington, DC, and visited memorials dedicated to our nations's military service.

Billy was blesssed with 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. They were all his "favorite" and brought continuous joy to his heart.

We will gather to honor him with a Celebration of Life service, date pending.
