Billie Joe Patterson
August 1, 1943 – July 17, 2010 Billie Joe Patterson was born in Colorado Springs, August 1, 1943 to Bill J Patterson and Violet Ohlson Patterson. He graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School with his high school sweetheart and love of his life. Billie and Alene Ruth Plamann were married September 16, 1961 at the Poudre Canyon Chapel. They attended Colorado State University where Billie earned his degree in Elementary Physical Education. He began and ended his teaching career of 29 years at Tavelli Elementary. He continued working as he developed his farm into Coeur d'Alene Estates. Billie Joe's life was shaped by his unique entrepreneurial energy, creative spirit and inexhaustible sense of humor. He was not afraid to love large, laugh loud and act boldly when the Spirit moved. His marriage of nearly 49 years leaves a profound legacy of love for the family, the church, the community and their legions of friends. Billie went to be with Jesus July 17, in his home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. Billie is survived by his wife Alene, his son Alan, daughter Brenda, grandchildren Evan, Alysha, Nathan and Ayana and great-granddaughter Hannah. He leaves behind a strong circle of treasured family and friends.
