Bill Nauroth, 85, of Fort Collins died February 27, 2010 at his home after a lengthy illness. Bill was born on June 13, 1924 in Dunlap, Iowa. Bill along with his 5 brothers served in various branches of the armed services during World War 11. Bill was a proud Navy Veteran and during his time with the armed services he was a Fireman 1st class and was stationed in the South Pacific. Bill married Marjorie Grickshot in 1956 and they had three children. He was employed by Sterling Sand & Gravel for 25 years. Bill was a dedicated family man who worked hard all his life to provide for his family. Following Marjorie's death, Bill married Donna Forney on February 9, 2001. Bill loved to bowl and golf and excelled at both. He was especially proud of his 2 clean game series in bowling and his hole-in-one in golf. Bill also enjoyed gambling and loved taking trips to Las Vegas and Blackhawk. Bill spent many happy hours working on his home and beautiful yard. You would find him all summer in his vegetable garden where he raised award winning tomatoes and green beans. Bill is survived by his wife, Donna; his two sons, Rick and Bob Nauroth; a daughter, Susan Redmond; four grandchildren, Bill Jessie Nauroth, Chris Nauroth, Amy Sanchez and Denise Redmond. He was also very close to Donna's three children, Steve Anderson, Dick Anderson and Jan Mowery. He is survived by two brothers and one sister of Dunlap, Iowa. A Memorial Service with Military Honors by Fort Collins All Veterans Honor Guard will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1709 W. Elizabeth. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Mountain Valley Hospice Health Care in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado, 80524.
