Beverly Smith

Beverly C. Smith of Fort Collins passed away on Dec. 25, 2007. She was born on Sept. 24, 1921, in Waukomis, Okla., to Everett M. and Josphine Guthrie. Shortly there after, the family moved to Colorado, ending up in Fort Collins where she lived most of her life. She married Walker A. Smith in 1948 and had two sons, Walker A. and Stephen J. Smith. She worked at the State Dry Goods Company until they closed, then ran her own business, "Creative Draperies," until she retired. She was an avid bowler and active in the Colorado Women's Bowling Association and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1986. She loved gardening and trips to the mountains. She is survived by her two sons, Stave and Walker Smith; and two brothers, Jack and George Guthrie and their families. A private family service will be held.
