Beverly Patterson passed away on June 30, 2024, in Fort Collins, CO, at the age of 92. Bev was the oldest of the 5 children born to Ralph and Lila Mason. While growing up in Omaha, Bev attended Beals School and Central High School. She married Robert Patterson in 1951 and they enjoyed 61 years together, raising 3 children, Richard, Rodney and Laura. Bob and Bev were long time members of Dundee Presbyterian Church in Omaha.
While Bev's main career was raising her family, her sharp mind and eye for numbers led her to jobs with both the U.S. Corp of Engineers and the Internal Revenue Service. Bob's job took them to new residences in Arvada, CO and Arlington, TX before they retired to Fort Collins, CO. No matter where she was calling home Bev was always a welcoming hostess to the many guests that came to visit, an avid gardener, an amazing cook and a caring neighbor. After retirement Bev remained active at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins, P.E.O., several bridge clubs, garden clubs and a ladies investment club which she founded. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were one of the biggest joys in her life and she cherished the time spent with them.
Bev is survived by son Rod Patterson (Jess Starkel) of Omaha, NE, daughter Laura Weaver (Allen) of Fort Collins, CO, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Bob Mason (Ashland, NE) and sister Lois Anderson (Omaha, NE). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Richard, and two sisters, Joan Rose and Donna Van Pelt.
A private graveside service will be held in Fort Collins. Memorials may be made to Pathways of Northern Colorado Hospice Care.
