Betty Jo (Jodi) Sparks 85, of Ft. Collins, Colorado died peacefully in her sleep in Ft. Collins on Sunday, December 20, 2015 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's.

Jodi was born on May 4, 1930 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Joseph and Audrey Jinks. The oldest child, Jodi was raised with her sisters, Marilyn and Patty. She married William Ralph (Bud) Sparks on June 21, 1952; they were married 39 years until Bud's untimely death on November 23, 1991. Together they had three children, Shane (Cindy), Casey (Hannah) and Shannon (Paul) and were blessed with eight grandchildren, Patrick, Jessica, Shawn, Tara, Makala, John Mac, Melissa and Amanda.

Jodi attended college at Western Nebraska Community College. She worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Poudre RE-1 School District. She was an extremely talented artist and was loved deeply by her young students. Later, Jodi worked for Hewlett Packard as an Administrative Support Team Member. During her 28 year tenure at HP and as the result of her reliable, kind, caring and supportive demeanor, Jodi became known as "Mom" to her many colleagues.

Before being stricken with Alzheimer's, Jodi completed a number of Bible Study International (BSI) classes. Her faith was strong and unwavering in all circumstances.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Private interment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery.
