Betty "Bobbie" A. Pepper, 83, of Fort Collins, died July 3, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Pepper was born September 20, 1926 in Batavia, Illinois to Hobart and Ellen Anthony. The family moved to California where she grew up and married Frank Brown. Mr. Brown passed away unexpectedly leaving Betty and their small daughter. Betty met Clifford R. Pepper in California where they married and moved to the Denver area in 1955. Betty worked as a switchboard operator at Davis Brothers Wholesale Drug, Inc. until she retired. Following her retirement she moved to Fort Collins to be close to her family and pursued a second career at Platte River Valley Power Authority. While there she made several lifelong friendships. Survivors include her daughter, Patti Gilmore Fred of Kerrville, Texas; granddaughter, Lori Gilmore Mike of Joliet, Illinois; grandson, Charlie Gilmore Erin of Belgrade, Montana; two great-grandsons; four nieces, two nephews; and many beloved friends. Preceding Betty in death are her husband, parents, sister and one nephew. A Remembrance Service will be held at 3454 Laredo Lane in Fort Collins on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Friends and family are invited to attend.
