Betty Allen

Betty J. Allen went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2007. She had been at Columbine Care Center West under hospice care. Betty was born Aug. 28, 1921, in Wichita, Kan., to Carroll and Beatrice Brown. She attended Friends University. On June 14, 1946, she married David R. Allen. While in Wichita, she was employed at Wichita Guidance Center and Addressograph Multigraph. After moving to Denver with her family in 1959, she was a supervisor for The Bureau of Mines. She retired in 1985. She was always dedicated and supportive of her family and is survived by her husband of 60 years, David R. Allen; son, David and wife Janine, son Rick and wife Sandy; two grandchildren Brinna and Josh; sister Dorothy Bell and her husband Edwin; brother Merritt Brown and his wife Margaret; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Victory Bible Fellowship, 208 Remington St. in Fort Collins. Internment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
