Bette Bettles Schapanski

Bette Bettles Schapanski died April 2, 2010 at Columbine Health and Rehab Facility, Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born December 11, 1919, in LaPorte, Indiana to Ralph and Clara Bartmess Bettles. In 1948 she married Edwin Schapanski who preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters. She graduated from LaPorte High School and resided in LaPorte, Indiana a total of 52 years. She was employed by the Indiana Employment Security Division in Laporte for 18 1/2 years. She also resided in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. She relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1987. She is survived by one son, Stephen Margo Schapanski; and one granddaughter, Brittany Schapanski of Fort Collins, Colorado; and 4 nephews and one niece. She will be cremated and no formal service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice, 305 Carpenter Road, Fort Collins, Colorado 80525.
