It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bethany Rae Winder, who peacefully departed this life on April 10, 2025, at the age of 34.
Born March 6, 1991, in Greeley, Colorado, Bethany was a devoted aunt, loving sister, caring daughter, and loyal friend. Her warmth, humor, and boundless love touched the lives of all who knew her.
Bethany is survived by her parents, Carol and George Winder; siblings Barrett Winder, Amanda Winder, and Karri Winder; nephew Quinton Winder and niece Zariyah Winder-Fortune. She also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert and Lorene Winder, and Folmer and Ethel Pedersen, her aunts Gloria Park, Melodie Marvin, and Vonna Hepner; and uncles Dale Winder and Walter Hepner.
Bethany took great pride in her work at B&B Pickle Barrel as a bartender and sandwich artist, always dreaming of one day owning the beloved Fort Collins sandwich shop. She was a vibrant and joyful presence in the community-especially in Old Town-frequenting favorite spots like Trailhead, Steak-out, Colorado Room, and Surfside.
Family meant everything to Bethany. She was a constant and loving presence in the lives of her niece and nephew, helping to care for and support them with a nurturing heart. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, baking delicious meals and treats, trying out new restaurants (though she always came back to her favorites), and celebrating holidays-especially Halloween-with great joy.
Bethany also had a deep passion for music and dancing, and a love for TV and movies that brought her comfort and connection. Her spirit was playful and warm; she was always laughing, joking, and lighting up every room she entered with her bright smile and sparkling eyes.
Bethany will be remembered for her kind and gentle heart, her contagious laughter, her devotion to her family and friends, and beautiful memories she created with everyone who had the joy of knowing her. Her legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever.
Please join family and friends as we celebrate the joyful life of Bethany Rae Winder. We will meet on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Fort Collins City Park in the covered picnic shelter on South Bryan Ave. near the playground from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Please dress casually.
