Bernard Swoboda

On Wednesday morning, June 13, 2007, our beloved "Bernie" Swoboda passed away peacefully with his son, Steve, and daughter-in-law, Heidi, at his side after a brief illness. Bernie was born in Kansas City, Kan., on Dec. 28, 1935, to Henry Lloyd Swaboda and Irene Pettit Swoboda. His family and friends will miss Bernie for his gregarious and kindly ways. He was a good man and a wonderful friend and father. He is survived by his son, Steve, and his wife, Heidi; their daughter, Amanda; his brothers, Jack, Bob and Ronnie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bernie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy. Visitation from will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. He will be dearly missed and long remembered. May he rest in peace with God.
