Bernadette Westholder (Dade) ---died May 7, 2019 after a brief illness, in Fort Collins, CO. She was born in Green Bay Wisconsin on August 16, 1925. She graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1942. She then relocated to Milwaukee, WI where she worked at the Kearney Trecker Corp., a Milwaukee war plant during WWII, from 1942 until 1945.
She relocated to Rockford, IL, where she attended St. Anthony's School of Nursing, graduated in 1948 and continued her nursing career until she retired in 1987. She lived in Rockford, IL until 2008, when she relocated to Fort Collins, CO to live with her son, Andrew.
She was married to Joseph M. Westholder on November 26, 1949 and they raised 5 children. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her mother and father (Andrew & Emily Spang) brothers Owen and Eric Spang. She is survived by her 5 children- sons, Joseph (Kathy) Westholder, Kevin (Barbara) Westholder, and Andrew Westholder; daughters Patricia (Stephen) Bertrand and Maureen (William, dec'd) McDevitt and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews .
A Requiem Mass will be said on Saturday, May 11th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Isidore the Farmer Roman Catholic Church in Watkins, CO, followed by burial in the St. Isidore cemetery.
