With hearts full of sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Benjamin (Ben) William Frame, 22, of Ft. Collins, CO on August 21st, 2026.

Ben was born in Louisiana on March 23, 2004 and also lived in Switzerland and Midland, Michigan where he graduated from Midland high School in 2022, before moving to Ft. Collins, CO to attend college. He earned his Eagle Scout badge in high school, was a swim team long distance swimmer, played French horn and a top ranked student. All those experiences shaped his character and carried into his hobbies and career interests. Ben was a loving son, brother, friend and partner who brought warmth and an infectious adventurous spirit to every part of his life, and to everyone he knew. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast who loved to climb mountains and hike through wooded forests.

Ben was completing his degree in December 2026, earning a Bachelors of Science from the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University, majoring in Forestry and Rangeland Stewardship. He worked for American Forests as a Reforestation Field Technician, partnering with USDA Forest service on large scale reforestation across the Southern Rockies. Prior to this, he was an intern at Colorado State Forest Service and a Park Ranger at Midland Parks Department.

Ben lived his life to the fullest. He developed a passion for growing and selling unique houseplants, and raised his beloved cat Dante as an adventurer that joined him to camp and hike. He loved to travel to new places, hike, and hang out with family and friends, game with his buddies, and most importantly he adored the love of his life Savannah who shares his passion for travel, his love of animals and nature, and who exposed him to the art of finer foods. They loved to road trip to see new places and would bring along as many of their pets as they could.

He towered over most people he knew, but yet he was gentle with a kind heart, a calming presence, and a beautiful smile. He was deeply loyal to his friends and family, and had a strong work ethic. He was the best son a parent could ever ask for, and words cannot express how greatly he will be missed.

To honor Ben, we encourage consideration of donations to causes that support Ben’s passions such as The Arbor Day Foundation or The National Park Foundation

Ben’s light will continue to shine through his parents Stephen and Jennifer, and sister Megan Frame of Midland MI, his fiancé Savannah Morris of Ft. Collins CO, and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

A celebration of Ben’s life will be held on September 12th at Memorial Presbyterian Church in Midland, Michigan. His family will greet visitors at 10AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM, and refreshments to follow. We invite all to join his family in remembrance and celebration of the joy he brought us.
