Ben Charles Duran, 92, of Loveland, formerly of Wellington, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2010. He was a loving husband, father, and exemplary grandpa. Ben was born on January 20, 1918 in San Pablo, CO to Tobias Duran and Cleotilde Mondragon. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII. On December 31, 1945 Ben married Tillie Pino at Holy Family Parish in Fort Collins. They enjoyed 65 wonderful years together. Ben managed the Ripple Ranch in Owl Canyon for most of his life. He was a great fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. He also enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his family. He was preceded in death by two sons, John "Tut" Duran and Carlos Duran; seven siblings; and his parents. Survivors include his wife Tillie; daughter Bennie Ruby Cienfuegos and husband Richard of Fort Collins; a brother Joe Duran of Denver; a sister Lily Martinez of Fort Collins; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 19, at 10:00 a.m with military honors by Fort Collins All Veterans Honor Guard.
