Belinda Sue Reeves

Listen to Obituary
Belinda 'Sue' Reeves (72) of Fort Collins passed away on March 22, 2026 after a three-year battle with Interstitial Lung Disease.

Sue was born on August 9, 1953, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Leland and Delores Hankins. She grew up a tomboy and could always be found playing outside. She loved reptiles and for that matter all animals. Sue attended and graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 1971, where she participated in track and even held the record for the 100m dash for some time. Shortly after graduation she married Don Reeves

During their first years of marriage they moved several times including stops in Key West, Florida and San Diego, California while Don was in the Navy. Sue completed Beauty School to become a Hairstylist during this time. Upon completion of Don's naval service, the two of them moved back to Northern Colorado in 1975.

Sue worked as a hairstylist for nearly 40 years and opened Sue's Hairitage, in 1980. She loved making people look great and chatting with them in her chair.

Sue and Don had one son, Donny, in 1976. Sue was a very active mom; she was always going to Donny's games and being the mom taxi for Donny and his friends. Sue enjoyed camping, fishing, skiing (water and snow), playing softball, golfing, and tending to her flower beds. She made a mean homemade salsa, with their home-grown tomatoes and peppers. She was always excited to spend her birthday gambling in Blackhawk.

Sue loved being Grammy to her four grandchildren. She never missed a game, match, or concert. She also was delighted to be Great Grammy to her five great grandchildren.

Sue and Don spent many afternoons enjoying margaritas (strawberry for Sue) and pretzels on their back patio. Recently her favorite activities included lunch with friends or family, going to the movies, and painting at ceramics.

Sue is survived by her husband Don, son Donny (Shawna); four grandchildren Shayla (Jacob) Greenwood, Dane (Calli), Ty, & Clay; and five great grandchildren Libby, Ada, Matthew, Lane, & Callie Greenwood. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Steve Hankins.

A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
