Barbara Jean Wade

On May 7th, 2022, Barbara Jean Linden Wade passed away at the age of 93. She passed peacefully in Fort Collins, CO where she lived since 1963. Barbara and her husband Carlton Bridgham Wade lived there with her three children Michele, David, and Joanne.

Barbara went to school at the University of Iowa where she received her BFA. She then attended the Art Institute of Chicago where she studied art. She was a very dedicated artist and an inspiration to the art community in Fort Collins, CO. She worked for Colorado State University in the student center and spent many hours in the art building where she created many of her works. She received many awards and recognition from well-known artists as well.

Barbara Jean was born in Oak Park, IL on November 16, 1928. Her parents were Gabriel E. Linden, who was born in Sweden in 1887 (est), and Eva May (Evelyn) Bruett, who was born in Iowa in 1888 (est). Barbara's brother was Robert Linden who was born in Oak Park, IL in 1931. Robert had two sons, Richard (Ricky) and Brandon Linden.

Barbara is survived by three children, her daughter Michele Lorraine DiMeo, whose father is Dominick DiMeo. Michele is married to Eric Dod and mother to Barbara's granddaughters Anya and Eva. Barbara's son is David Linden Wade, and another daughter Joanne Bridgham Schumacher is married to Gregory M.S. Schumacher.

Barbara was a very kind, smart, and talented person who will be missed dearly. Love you
