Barbara I. Prenzlow, 87, of Fort Collins died Tuesday, October 29, 2019. Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Peace with Christ Lutheran Church, 1412 W. Swallow Road. Pastor David Magruder will officiate.

Barbara was born August 20, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri to William Shanks and Jeannette Raymond Shanks. She graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1950. Barbara enjoyed horseback riding and was a member of her high school's Square Dance Team.

She married Roger Prenzlow on May 1, 1951 in Colorado Springs and was proud to be a Navy wife. In 1974 after many moves they settled in Ft. Collins.

Barbara was known for her love of volunteering, serving on church committees and for her generosity. She was a member of Peace with Christ Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and Gideon's Widows. She was also an avid Rockies and CSU basketball and volleyball fan.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Harsh and her husband, Darrell living in Broomfield, Colorado; a son, Roger Prenzlow, and his wife, Vicki living in Platteville, Colorado; five grandchildren, Jessica Noffsinger , Autumn Maus, Mary Shama, Zachary Harsh, and Valerie Semich, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Peace with Christ Lutheran Church for Ysleta Lutheran Mission or Lutheran Bible Translators in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
