Listen to Obituary
Barbara Weber Oppy, 79, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away in her home on August 9, 2019. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Barbara was born in Fall City, Nebraska on October 26, 1939, the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Kelly) Weber. She graduated from Saints Peter and Paul High School in Seneca, Kansas in 1957. She attended and worked at Kansas State University, where she met William Oppy in 1961. Barbara and William were married later that same year and celebrated their 58th anniversary in 2019.

They lived in Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Texas, and Florida before retiring and moving to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1998. Barbara worked in an administrative capacity at Saint Anthony Hospital in Denver, though one of her favorite jobs was working for the Plant City, Florida Chamber of Commerce. She was an avid reader, enjoyed card-making with friends, and crafting in general. She also took great joy in her grandchildren: James, Megan, Elizabeth, Will, Hannah and Kylie.

She is survived by her husband, William Oppy of Fort Collins, her three children David (Catherine) Oppy of Monument, CO; Brian (Nancy) Oppy of Chico, CA; Heather (Mark) Prochaska of Fort Collins; and her six grandchildren.
