Barbara R. Knipple

February 6, 1947 — September 21, 2017

Listen to Obituary
Barbara Rita Knipple, 70, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, completed her journey home to be with the Lord, our God, on September 21, 2017. She lived a life of unmistakable devotion to her children, family, and friends. There is no greater evidence of this than her 50 plus year marriage to Ronald J. Knipple, the seven children she lovingly raised, the 17 grandchildren she adored and doted on, and the 4 great grandchildren that were born over the last several years. Family and friends will tell you that she was sometimes quiet, always had a smile, and the first to lend a hand in every situation. She was known to many and loved by all.

She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father; her brothers John Joseph Cordova and Patrick John Cordova, Sr.; her sisters Linda Cordova and Lorraine Cordova. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Knipple, Sr.; her children Ronald Knipple, Jr. , Robin Reining (Jason Medina), Henery Knipple (Stefanie Knipple), Richard Knipple, Rory Knipple (Desirea Knipple), Rita Knipple, Stephanie Engel (Robert Engel); her grandchildren Christopher J. Spitz, Brittany (Worley-Knipple) Spina (Joe Spina), Kevin Leal, Ashton Worley-Knipple (Katie Worley), Eryne Knipple, Morgan Knipple, Alec Knipple, Richard Knipple, Jr., Angelia Reining, Collin Engel, Quenton Knipple, Hannah Williamson, Jamie Williamson, Chad Engel, Jarit Williamson, Isaiah Knipple, and Jaylin Knipple; her great grandchildren Riley, Adrian, Alivia, and Brooklynn; her siblings Margaret DelaRosa, Ernestine Gonzales, Pita Ariaz, Dave Asevedo, Jessie Joe Godinez, Natalie Carranco Castillo, Albert Cordova Jr., Timothy Cordova, Roxanne Cordova, Rodney Cordova, Claudette Retana, and Melanie Cordova.

Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, September 29, 2017, 11 a.m. This will be followed by the interment of her ashes at Grandview Cemetery. A celebration of Barbara's life will immediately proceed these services at the Knights of Columbus, 121 N. Meldrum Street, Fort Collins.

A memorial fund has been established in Barbara's name to support the Alzheimer's Association. Thank you to all that have cared for Barbara over the last several years, including the staff at Elder Haus and Golden Peaks Care Center.

Barb Knipple has gone on to be with those that have gone before her and watch over those left behind. In her absence there is pain and longing but comfort and pure joy in knowing she is beside God, our Savior. She will be missed and loved - always.
