Barbara J. Holder, age 84, peacefully entered through the gates of Heaven on the morning of January 19, 2023. Barbara was born in Oakland, California on May 3, 1938, to Wilma and William (Walker) Beesley. She later relocated to the beautiful city of Fort Collins, Colorado with her family.
She met the love of her life, Jerry Holder, while they were working together in the pharmaceutical industry. Jerry was the handsome pharmacist who would call and order medication from Barbara's business, and he quickly caught her eye. Love blossomed between the two. They later married and Jerry lovingly cared for her 3 young children. They shared 53 beautiful years of marriage together, and rarely left each other's side.
Barbara enjoyed participating in church and had a strong relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved gardening, cooking, baking with her grandkids and hosting family gatherings at her house. She enjoyed dancing and was often the one leading everyone out onto the dance floor. She enjoyed her times with her cousins, nephews, and nieces in California. She always brought a smile to everyone she came across and enjoyed being the light of the room.
Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Susan (James) Lucero, and her sons Michael Beesley and Mitchell Weltback, her grandchildren, Randy (Haleigh) Gonzalez, Corinna Gonzalez, and Amanda Warnars, and her great-granddaughter Sierra Gonzalez. Other family members who she deeply cherished include her step-grandchildren Vanessa and Brenda Lucero, Sara (Aaron) Medina, her niece Rachelle Beesley, and nephews Steve Beesley and Ron Beesley.
We are incredibly grateful to the dozens of healthcare professionals that took care of Barbara over the years and the friends that provided immeasurable support to our family.
