In Loving Memory of Barbara L Hayes
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara L. Hayes, whose strength, love, and devotion shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Mom lived a life defined by faith, sacrifice, and unconditional love. Before becoming a mother, she dedicated part of her life to serving others as a nun, carrying that same compassion and selflessness with her throughout her entire journey. She later chose a different path, teaching and impacting many lives that led her to build a family and devote herself wholeheartedly to raising her children and later her grandchildren as she could.
As a single mother, she worked tirelessly to provide for her son and daughter, often putting her own needs aside to ensure her family had what they needed. Her determination, resilience, and unwavering commitment carried us through life's challenges. No matter the mistakes we made or the trials we faced, Mom never stopped loving us, supporting us, and welcoming us with open arms.
She was a woman of incredible strength, fierce loyalty, and boundless forgiveness. Her love was not measured by perfection but by presence, patience, and grace. She taught us the meaning of perseverance, faith, and family, not through words alone, but through the example she lived every day.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was—a remarkable woman whose strength carried a family and whose heart never stopped giving.
She is survived by her loving children, Carolann Allison and Christopher McCrum, 7 grandchildren, Natalie, Cne, Austin, Ciera, Serenity, Ian and Christopher, 4 siblings, Judy O'Connor, David Hayes (Patti), Nancy Whitemore, & Holly Hayes, and many friends who will forever cherish her memory.
We love you, Mom. Thank you for every sacrifice, every lesson, every hug, and every moment of unconditional love. Your journey here may be complete, but your impact on our lives will remain forever.
"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day."
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins CO 80524.
