Barbara Joan Pointer was born at Larimer County Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado on August 18, 1948. Her mother was Helen Irene Pointer. Barbara lived most of her life in the Fort Collins, Colorado area. She died on January 4, 2018, knowing she was loved.
Barbara married Jerry E. Duvall in Fort Collins, Colorado on June 28, 1967. They had two sons and made their family home in Fort Collins, Colorado. Jerry E. Duvall Jr. was born on November 14, 1967 and Jimmy R. Duvall was born on April 9, 1972. Barbara's husband Jerry E. Duvall Sr. died on November 14, 1986.
Barbara remarried Virgil V. Wessel of Fort Collins, Colorado on February 4, 1994. They resided in Fort Collins, Colorado for the remainder of their loving years together. They greatly enjoyed traveling together, especially trips around the Southwest in their motorhome "Jamee."
Her son Jerry E. Duvall Jr. died in Fort Collins, Colorado on March 30, 2008. She grieved his loss for the remainder of her life.
Barbara worked for many years at Teledyne Water Pik, first on the assembly lines and then as a lead and line manager. Later in her life, she worked for the Fort Collins (Poudre) Library in various positions including accounts payable. She loved her work at the library and made wonderful friends during her years there.
Barbara was a loving mother and caring wife. She was an unconditionally loving, hardworking, kind, caring, simple and moral woman. She would help anyone that needed her. She was accepting of all people.
She is survived by her loving son Jimmy R. Duvall, his wife Kelly, and granddaughters Elizabeth (16) and Emily Duvall (13) of Los Gatos, California.
A memorial service will be held in Barbara's honor on Saturday, January 13th at 1:00 pm at the Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins, Colorado.
