Avis Ionia Varra passed away at Windsor Health Care Center on June 19, 2011. She was born on July 26, 1922. She is survived by her son, Dan Varra and his wife, Carolyn of Windsor and a daughter, Georgia Gronquist of Arvada; five grandchildren, Michelle Thompson of Greeley, Mark Gronquist and his wife, Sandy of Arvada, Daneine Valencia and husband, T.J. of Grand Junction, Dean Varra and wife, Angela of Windsor, and Kevin Varra of Windsor; seven great grandchildren, Josslyn Varra, Adele and Hannah Valencia, Jeff and Jessica Thompson, and Mark and Maddy Gronquist.
Avis spent most of her life on the family farm in Windsor with her husband, Harold who passed away in 1990. A memorial celebration for life will be held at the farm home for family. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Grandview Cemetery.
The family requests flowers and memorial contributions be omitted.
