Austin Lee Padia passed from our hands to God's on September 1, 2010. Austin was born June 11, 1995. He was born without a right ventricle in his heart. He underwent his first transplant August 29, 1995. He was strong from the beginning, never complained, loved school, and football. His favorite team was the Broncos. He loved collecting Bronco memorabilia with his grandpa. He was never without a smile, a true zest for life; he said he was "bulletproof and fearless for life." June 7, 2010, Austin rejected his heart. After several weeks in the hospital and a short time at Ronald McDonald House he was given a second heart transplant August 22, 2010. Due to complications he never recovered. Survived by his parents, Virgil and Michelle Padia; his brothers, Tyler and Eric; and his best friend, Scott; grandpa, Mike Farris who was his best buddy; grandmothers, Pat Farris and Lucy Hernandez; aunts, uncles and countless family. God bless you Austin, We love you. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Austin Padia Donation Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, CO 80524.
