Augustine Ortiz

Augustine "Ernie" Ortiz, 25, of Fort Collins passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 16, 2012 in Wellington due to a car accident. He was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on March 3, 1987. Ernie had "the look" to melt your heart. He was a man who loved being around his family. His greatest joy in life was raising his two kids, Augustine and Adrianna. He loved the mountains and everything about Colorado from swimming in the summer to sledding in the winter. He loved fixing up his car. He could bring a smile to anyone's face just from him entering the room. In the words of Ernie, "You deserve the best; don't let anyone tell you different." He lived by this motto and inspired everyone else to as well. He could fix anything. We all called him "the Mexican MacGyver." He will be missed by everyone, but we know God needed an Angel, so He brought him home. Ernie is survived by his mothers, Placida Ortiz and Liza Ortiz; his stepfather, Roy Hernandez; his wife, Stephanie House; his two children, Augustine Ortiz and Adrianna Ortiz; his sister, Frankie Ortiz; his brothers, Johnny Hernandez and Jesus Ortiz; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephew. Waiting for him with arms open are his dad, Crescencio N. Ortiz and Bernadette "Brenna" Laureles. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
