Arthur "Art" William Evans

Arthur Williams Evans passed away on July 11th 2023 at Medical Center of the Rockies. Art was born July 1st 1947 in Long Beach California to Arthur E. Evans and Isabelle Evans. He graduated from Millikan High School in 1965. Art joined the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton in September 1966, serving two years in Viet Nam and while there received three purple hearts. Art was Married to Alice F. Stillings on June 30th 1973, and enjoyed 50 wonderful years traveling and enjoying life. They have three children Angela Marie DeVoe (Matt), James Matthew, and John Michael. They were also blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren. Phoebe and Lainey DeVoe, Sara and Jordan Evans, and Holly, Jack, Miles, and Kodi Evans. Art had two brothers Gary Evans (Marilyn), and Rick Evans (Ronnie) and niece Mindi Hynes and nephew Jeremy Evans. Art worked for the City of Long Beach for 34 years, 29 of which were for Long Beach Water Department. Art retired in 2002 as Superintendent of the Water Department. A few after retiring he and his wife Alice moved to Wellington Colorado. There they have enjoyed fishing, shooting, and making friends at the Wellington Senior Center. He was also a member of the All-Services Honor Guard out of Fort Collins Colorado. He will be greatly missed by many. Viewing will be held 11am-1pm with the funeral service with military honors to follow on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Private Interment will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
