Arnold Hein

Arnold Hein, 92, died on October 21, 2009 after an illness. Arnold was born on July 29, 1917 to Joseph and Hattie Hein in Scotia, Nebraska. He was raised in Fort Collins, graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1936, and married Esther Rutt in 1940. After her death in 1991, he married S. Frances Meeks of Dallas, Texas in 1994. Arnold served in World War II with the 42nd Rainbow Division Infantry in Europe. He worked for J.C. Penney Company for 41 years. For half of those years he managed units in Denver and Crete, Nebraska. He returned in 1977 to Fort Collins. Arnold loved the mountains, fishing, hunting, and travel with his wife. He is survived by his wife Frances. Preceding Arnold in death are his parents; a sister, Violet, and a brother, Marvin. A graveside service will be held Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery.
