Arlen Dale Peace departed this earth December 3, 2018. He passed away at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado, surrounded by his family.

He was born May 7, 1931 in Johnson County, Nebraska to Lloyd Oral (Mike) Peace and Crystal Katherine Ostrander Peace. He grew up in Princeton, Kansas. He graduated from Princeton Kansas High School in 1949. He enlisted in the United States Air Force. After spending a year in the service, he was recalled to go to the Korean War. He married Mary Lila Hetzel on Sept 3, 1950 and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas for the remainder of his service. He was a Supply Sergeant, and drove and repaired trucks.
After serving his country, he relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado where he lived the remainder of his life. He had two daughters, and was a machinist most of his life.

He married Mary Lou Martin on November 16, 1973.

He enjoyed building his dune buggies, campers, and creating tools, parts, and prank toys with his drill press and lathe. He loved driving, boating, skiing, riding his motorcycle, and going to threshing bees and watching the steam engines.

After retirement, he remained busy in his shop fixing, building, creating, and helping others. He was the original "do-it-yourselfer". He also enjoyed daily coffee with his "coffee buddies".

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, John Radke; and his niece, Christina Madl.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Peace; daughter, Marlene Gebhart of Loveland, Colorado; daughter, Susie (and husband, Ralph) Lewis of LaPorte, Colorado; step-son, Hank Martin (and wife, Danna) of Centennial, Colorado, and honorary son, Keith Jensen of Fort Collins, Colorado; sister, Laura Lea Radke of Ottawa, Kansas; brother, Douglas Peace (and wife, Erma) of Mission, Texas; and his niece, Damita Peace of Rochester, New York.

He left behind nine grandchildren-Michelle and Megan Gebhart, Michael, Casey, and Andrea Lewis, Riley and Cade, Martin, Annie and Molly Jensen; and four great-grandchildren-Ashlin, Ivan, Wyatt, and Quinn Lewis.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8426 US 287, Fort Collins, Colorado 80535, (970) 667-2020. A coffee and informal reception will follow.
