Ardis Mae Johnson Lunbery will be celebrating her 1st Christmas in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away at Spring Creek Health Care Center in Fort Collins, Colorado on November 28, 2011 at the age of 89. Ardis was born January 7, 1922 in Omaha, Nebraska and raised on a farm near Brule, Nebraska. She married Luther Paul Lunbery on December 23, 1941. They raised their family in Ogallala, Nebraska where Ardis spent most of her life. She worked at Goodall Electric and TRW. After her retirement she did volunteer work and home care for the elderly. Ardis is loved and will be missed by five living children and their spouses: Bea and Kevan Skip Bryant of Fort Collins, Colorado, Glen and Ruth Lunbery of San Antonio, Texas, Jerry and Sarah Lunbery of Alliance, Nebraska, Marilyn and Barry Bowersox of Gillette, Wyoming, Kirk and Shelly Lunbery of Ogallala, Nebraska. Also, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Lunbery of Alliance, Nebraska, and a son-in-law, Arvo Dygert of Los Angeles, California; fourteen grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Ardis was preceded in death by her husband, Luther in 1987, daughter, Patricia Dygert in 2008, and a great-grandson in 2009. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Farm in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524. A private family service will be held.
