Ardelle M. Roeske, 90 years old, of Green House Homes in Loveland CO. died August 8, 2017 at McKee Medical Center of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Born January 20, 1927 in Waupun, WI., she was the daughter of German immigrants Walter Pobanz and Erna Fischer Pobanz. She was born at home, minutes before her twin sister Ardis.
She married Arden Roeske on July 14, 1946 after his return stateside following WWII. Her husband, a pilot with the Army Air Corp, was called back into service for the Korean War. Following his release from his second service, the family moved from Milwaukee to Madison, WI. where she raised 3 children, worked part-time and took a bookkeeping correspondence course while Arden pursued his career as a pilot with North Central Airlines.
In 1961, North Central transferred Arden to Detroit Metropolitan airport and the family moved to Ypsilanti Michigan. She worked in Medical Records at Beyer Hospital, became an Accredited Record Technician and then worked at Mercywood Hospital in Ann Arbor, eventually becoming the head of Medical Records.
Ardelle travelled extensively, including trips to China, Europe and many trips to Germany to visit relatives.
After retiring, she wintered in Ft Myers, FL and lived in Ann Arbor.
She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed golfing, refurbishing antiques, playing bridge, singing in the church choir, dancing at German Park and walking her dog Chip.
Ardelle moved to Colorado in 2017 to be closer to family in her final days.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynda Manning (David d.) of Ft Collins, CO; daughter Merri McClure Jones (Michael) of Fountain Hills, AZ; son Rick Roeske (Rose d.) of Soldotna, AK.;
grandchildren Kaity and Sam, CO. and Kirk (Lindsey) McClure, AZ.; sisters Inga John and Barbara Seder of Fond du lac, WI and ex-son in law William Mc Clure, MI.
She was pre-ceded in death by her ex-husband, Arden Roeske and sisters Ardis Lepley and Hilda Ogle.
