Anton "Tony" Heinrich Nolte, 83, of Fort Collins, died June 4, 2006 at a local nursing home. Mr. Nolte was born May 6, 1923 in Eschwege, Germany, to Wilhelm Nolte and Helene Schlitzer Nolte. Tony served three years in the German Army during World War II and was educated in engineering in Germany. He then moved to Fort Collins in 1956 from Germany and married Rosa Jaeger Nolte on July 4, 1958 in Denver. Tony retired from Forney Industries on Aug. 1, 1986 after 30 years as an engineer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Nolte is survived by his wife, Rosa Nolte; a son, Richard Nolte, of Fort Collins; and one sister, Sofie Adamson, of Torrance, Calif. Mr. Nolte is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George Nolte; and two sisters, Marageth Kreuter and Erika Schlick. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Father Roger Lascelle will be officiating at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Boy Scout Troup, #95 in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80524.
