Anthony Vincent Luongo

Anthony Vincent Luongo passed away in Ft Collins CO on July 26th, 2017 at the age of 93.
Anthony is predeceased in death by His loving wife Violet E Luongo, his mother Louise, and his father John
Anthony is lovingly remembered by his brothers and sister; Nicholas, Edvige, Fred, and Rick, his children; Patricia Baggs (Bernard), Christopher (Kathandra), and Robert (Loretta), his two grandchildren; Gabrielle McCann (Kurt), and Anthony, his great grandchildren; Aurora and Atlas and his beloved nieces and nephews.
Anthony "Tony" was born in Newark NJ on April 5, 1924, he went to High School in Newark NJ, then joined the US Army Air corps during WWII serving as an armaments officer. He went on to further his education at the American – Mitchell Designing School of NY where he studied Designing, patternmaking and Grading of ladies' Garments and earned his Certificate of Graduation on January 31, 1950. He worked alongside his brother Nick as Vice President of R&L sheet metal company until he retired at the "young" age of 84. He then moved west to Colorado to be with his eldest son Chris and his family.
Tony loved to travel and enjoyed visiting historical places, meeting new people and trying new foods. (Italian cuisine always remained his favorite). He enjoyed the music of the Big Band era, soft jazz, and Opera. Family always remained the most important thing in Tony's life. He loved all his children and their spouses with all his heart.
The visitation will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W Olive St, Ft Collins CO on Saturday, July 29th. Prayers and remembrances will be offered from the Chapel 2:00pm to 4:00pm
The funeral service mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of the Mountain Roman Catholic Church, 2 E Springtown Rd, Long Valley NJ 07853 on Saturday, August 5th. Interment to follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery & Mausoleum, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ.
