Annette D. Snyder, 47, of Fort Collins, died Jan. 1, 2008, at her residence. Annette was born May 25, 1960, in San Pablo, Calif., to Lester Van Horn and Ruth Hammer Van Horn. Annette was a high school and life long athlete, enjoying volleyball and softball. She received her B.S. degree from CSU in 1982, majoring in human development. She worked as a computer programmer until her first child was born. She then became a full time mother to her two children. Most recently she worked at CSU coordinating a graduate program. She was an inspiration to her family, friends, and co-workers as she courageously battled late stage lung cancer with tremendous faith. She is survived by her parents, Lester and Ruth Van Horn; her two sisters, Kari Van Horn and Janette Heyliger; and her two daughters, Katie and Faith. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at First Baptist Church, 900 E. Prospect Road. Private interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
