Annette Frances Beale went to be with our Lord on November 27, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gordon Smith Beale, Jr. She is survived by her four children, Laura Helen Troxell, Marcia Frances Will-Clifton, Gordon Winslow Beale, and Alicia Marie Beale, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Annette Frances Beale was born November 22, 1923 to Frances and John Levy. She grew up in the Great Depression and lived in the New York City area as well as Sarasota, Florida. Annette entered Florida State College in 1940 and graduated with a degree in Commerce in 1944. She married Richard Z. McDermott in July of 1944 and was widowed when he was killed in action during World War II in Dortmundt, Germany in April of 1945. Annette married Gordon S. Beale, Jr. September of 1946. They had four children before Gordon's untimely death in October of 1959. Annette became the sole provider for her family. She obtained her Master's in Education from Washington University in St. Louis in 1963; taught in Webster Groves, MO School District in St. Louis for 16 years and 13 years for Lutheran South High School in St. Louis. Still later she worked in Community College District in St. Louis until she was well in her seventies. Her funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1208 W. Elizabeth in Fort Collins, CO at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. The graveside service will be private.
