Anne Morehouse
October 15, 1966 – April 20,2025
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Anne Morehouse over Easter weekend, following a series of surgeries and ongoing medical complications. Anne faced her health challenges with remarkable courage, grace and resilience, supported by her family and friends.
Anne's warmth, kindness and unwavering spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Her heart was filled with a love for music, books, animals, antiques, flowers and the simple joys of life. Her passion for creativity blossomed through her work at Steele's Market Floral Department, and later as a partner with her mother at Blooms and Heirlooms in Ault, Colorado. Her beautiful floral arrangements brought joy to countless brides and brightened many lives.
Anne's love for antiques was undeniable. Whether she was selling treasures at the shop or participating in antique shows, she brought fun and enthusiasm to every event. Her green thumb and appreciation for nature also led her to spend many happy years working at local nurseries.
Anne shared a special bond with her father, learning from him not just a love of cars but also becoming a pretty good mechanic herself.
She enjoyed singing, dancing and embracing the music at local outdoor events. A favorite, the Greeley Stampede, was attended each year with family and dear friends.
Horses held a special place in Anne's heart as well, symbolizing her free-spirited nature and lifelong connection to animals. Her pets, Buddy, Lucky, Singer, Susie Turtle, and recent addition, Abigail, were dearly loved by Anne.
Anne is survived by her parents, John and Mary Morehouse, siblings, Mary Ashworth (Brian), Susie Morehouse, Johnny Morehouse and Laura Koellner (Rob), along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by nephew Jordan; nieces Elissa, Keila and Cierra; and 7 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her niece Jamie.
Her spirit, creativity, laughter, and love will live on in all who were fortunate enough to share in her journey.
A private family service will be held, with a celebration of life to be planned for this summer.
We invite all who knew Anne to reach out, share memories, and support one another during this time of grief. Though she may no longer walk among us, Anne's spirit will forever dance in the music she loved, bloom in the flowers she arranged so beautifully, and shine brightly in our hearts.
Contributions can be made in Anne's name to the Animal Friends Alliance or a food bank of your choice.
