Ann L. Stevens, 88, of Fort Collins, CO died Friday, April 19, 2019. Ann was born on October 6, 1930 in Warren, OH to William and Hazel (maiden name Nash) Jackman. Ann married Robert (Bob) L. Stevens. They moved from Warren, OH to Altadena, CA in 1954, then to Torrance, CA and on to Hawaii in 1972. 8+ years or so after Bob's death in 1980, Ann returned to CA where she resided until moving to CO in 2006 due to her declining health to be with her daughter Lynn in Greeley, CO and later son Brad in Fort Collins, CO. Ann was a long-time member and employee of St. Peters by the Sea Presbyterian Church in Palos Verdes, CA as well as Kilohana United Methodist Church on the island of Oahu in HI.
Ann's interests were raising her family, travel, dancing, movies, reading and cooking. She enjoyed reading romance and western novels, listening to music, playing cards, seeing beautiful horses and the vibrant feathers of peacocks. Ann's favorites bible verses were Psalm 23 & 24. Asked how she would like to be remembered, she stated, "She did the best she could."
She is survived by her youngest son, Bradford Nash (Brad) Stevens of Fort Collins, CO; an elder son, Robert L. Stevens, Jr., of Long Beach, CA and a daughter, Debra A. Weaver of Redondo Beach, CA; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving brother, retired Minister Thomas Jackman of Palmyra, PA as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Robert L. Stevens in 1980 of HI, her parents William (Bill Sr.) & Hazel Jackman of PA, brother William (Bill Jr.) Jackman of NY and daughter Lynn R. Begin of CO.
