Ann Johnette Knaus, 70, of Loveland CO, passed away after a hard-fought battle with Cancer on September 17, 2026 at home, surrounded by family.
Johnette was born on October 22, 1955 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. Her parents, Kenneth L and Phyllis A Goldsberry (Jensen) raised her in Fort Collins where she graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in 1974. She went on to receive an Associate's Degree in Secretarial Skills from Colorado State University in 1976 and began work at the Larimer County Vo-Tech Center. She began working at Hewlett-Packard in 1978 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Management from Regis University in 1980. She retired from HP in the spring of 2022 after 44 years of service, the vast majority of which was as a Human Resource Manager.
On April 29, 1978, Johnette married Timothy G Knaus in Fort Collins. They moved to Loveland Colorado at the end of 1979 because Ft. Collins had gotten too big and buying their first house was more economical in Loveland. They raised their three children there and were married 48 years. Tim worked at Eastman Kodak Company, later Carestream Health for 44 years, working his way up from apprentice to senior engineer.
Johnette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed travel both in an RV, visiting all, but two of the lower 48 states, many several times as well as Canada and Mexico. The Gulf region in the spring and Amish country in the fall were her favorites, though she never acquired a taste for oysters or scrapple. She also enjoyed international travel. The deal she and Tim made when they bought their first, was that owning a motorhome wouldn’t preclude that and it didn’t. A veteran cruiser, both river and ocean, they toured Europe several times sometimes with family and friends, Ireland, Hawaii, Alaska, Riviera Maya.
She was also an accomplished Shopper and Quilter, both skills she learned from and participated in with her mother Phyllis. She excelled in both. Her mother would have been proud.
Johnette is survived by her spouse Tim; sons Sean Knaus (Jamie) and Devin; daughter Teagan Tooley (Tyler); Three grandsons: Declan, Cullen and Tatum. Her sister Janell Goldberry, brother Jeff Goldsberry and father Ken Goldsberry. She was preceded in death by her mother Phyllis A Goldsberry.
A private family service will be held at the home they shared the last 40 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society @American Cancer Society.
