Alyce Florence Pire, age 93, left her physical body behind when she passed away on May 29, 2016.
She is survived by a younger brother, Eugene Pribnow; two children, Greg Pire and his wife, Rita and Lori Goodlet and her husband, Dan; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Alyce was born in Ellsworth, Wisconsin on June 25, 1922 to William and Florence Pribnow. She led a very full and accomplished life. After finishing high school early and having taught herself to play the piano and sing, she formed a singing group with two older girls. They moved to San Francisco and also sang based out of New York City. Her professional singing career lasted twelve years and included a USO tour in the Philippines where the singing group entertained troops in World War II. At the end of her singing career she also co-hosted a radio program.
She met and married Willard C. Pire on March 7, 1953 and they remained together more than fifty years until his he passed away in August, 2007. During her marriage, she raised two children and helped support and manage her husbands' restaurant and insurance businesses. Alyce also obtained her Private Pilot's License and flew with him on many trips in the company aircraft.
The center of her life was her faith in Jesus Christ and practicing her faith at home and in various church activities. She read the Bible daily and passed along this devotion and dedication to God to her family and friends, providing them with inspiration and desire to do their best to serve the Lord.
