Lifelong resident, Allen Dotzenko died suddenly on December 23, 2016 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins, CO from cardiac arrest. He was 72.
He was born in Newburgh, NY, the son of Dr. Alexander and Mae Dotzenko of Ft. Collins, CO. After graduation, Allen enlisted for 4 years in the Navy. He attended Lawrence Institute of Technology in Michigan, and studied electrical engineering. He later became interested in environmental issues and received a certificate from Larimer County Vo Tech in Water and Waste Management. He began working for the City of Ft. Collins Water Treatment Facility and was there for many years.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Alexander Dotzenko.
He is survived by his son, Preston Glenn; mother, Mae Dotzenko of Ft. Collins; three brothers: Steve Dotzenko of Ft. Collins, Greg Dotzenko of Shanghai, China, and Jay Dotzenko of Port Angeles, Washington.
He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
Cremation will be handled by the Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Ft. Collins.
