Alicia E. Maciel

Alicia E. Maciel, 62 of Windsor, passed away October 18, 2009 with her family by her side, at the Windsor Health Care Facility. Alicia was born February 2, 1947 in Fort Collins to Augustine Blanco and Alejandra Remijio. She graduated from Loveland High School and attended AIMS Community College. She married Robert R. Maciel on March 27, 1965. At the time of her retirement in 1995 from Hewlett-Packard, she was employed as a software coordinator. Alicia loved working at HP and dedicated 27 years to the corporation. She is survived by her husband of 44 years; her mother, Alejandra of Loveland; and daughter, Jackie and husband, David Mollendor of Fort Lupton. She was blessed to have three grandchildren; Kale McShane, Adrielle McShane and Mia Mollendor all of Fort Lupton, Colo. Alicia's life was dedicated to her family, friends, and faith. She enjoyed family vacations, especially to Mazatlan, Mexico and the opportunity to have cafecito y pastel. She was preceded in death by her father, Augustine Blanco; and her brother, Timothy Blanco. A Rosary is scheduled from 9:15 - 9:45 a.m. followed by the Celebration of Mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor, Colorado, 1250 7th Street.
