Albert Troudt passed away on September 6, at the age of 91 following a short illness. Albert was a native of Fort Collins having grown up on farms in the area. He retired from Ghent Motor Company after nearly 40 years of service. He enjoyed many life-long friends from his time at Ghent's and many were still his regular breakfast and coffee buddies. He was a WWII veteran and was active in the Elks and Moose Clubs and the American Legion. Albert loved taking care of his home and his yard and was always ready with a friendly wave or a helping hand for his neighbors. Everyone got to know his quick wit and fun-loving nature. Racing was in his blood and he was honored as the top mechanic for the #77 car driven by his friend, John Rostek. Albert was a wonderful father and grandfather and caring friend to: Gary Vikki Troudt of Tallahassee, FL; Kathie Robin Riley, Katelyn Riley and Justin Riley of Loveland; and Evelyn Cooper of Fort Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Greenwalt Troudt; parents, Alex and Katherine Troudt; brothers, Lee and Howard Troudt, and sister Esther Buderus. A memorial service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 11. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Associated Veterans of Loveland, attention Ed Aitken, 305 Cleveland Avenue, Loveland, 80537.
