Adison Rae Landon passed away Monday, January 8th, 2024 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Adison enjoyed growing up in Iowa with a spirit of adventure, incredible charisma, and many talents. She spent her summers collecting animals, winters building snow forts, and long car rides with her family across the country. Her room was filled with aquariums full of fish and reptiles. If you opened the garage freezer, you were probably going to find a frozen animal in it. Her interest in survival, nature, and animals lead to her to begin reading encyclopedias at age 5.
Adi was involved in many high school sports and played lead roles in community theaters. Every Christmas, the family would audition at community theaters and act together on and off stage. Adi was also gifted academically. After graduating from Ballard High School in 2008, she graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy.
Soon after college, Adi moved to Colorado where she began her journey to find herself. She began working at Comrade Brewing in Denver, Colorado, where she made lifelong friends. She was passionate about her friends from Comrade and putting pastries, chilies, or fruits in special batches of beer. She continued to exercise her love of beer and improving it when she moved to Fort Collins and began working at Snowbank Brewing in 2018.
In Colorado, Adi met her husband Andrew Landon. Adi and Andrew had a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony on top of the Rocky Mountains on the summer solstice, June 20, 2020. They enjoyed riding in their red Volkswagen Bug named Pepper and playing with their dog, Naga. She began her own businesses in Fort Collins after leaving Snowbank. Adi was the owner of Fish Perfect, an aquarium service business, even though "she really didn't like fish that much." She did, however, enjoy her second business making hot sauce, a passion from her college days.
Adi was driven to bring people together. Although she had her own challenges, she built communities, strove to solve problems, and cared for people deeply. We will continue to celebrate her life through the things she enjoyed and pray she has found peace and joy.
Adison Landon is survived by her husband, Andrew Landon; mother, Diane Conway; father, Ray Conway; and siblings Kayla (Jason) Zagar, Kelli (Bryan) Brendeland, Matt (Amy) Holmes, Kim (Matt) Heller and Kristen Conway.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Adi Memorial Weekend in Lansing, Iowa. Guests are encouraged to bring stories, great beers, and Gameboys or Nintendos.
