ADELINE "ADDIE" ROSE LEWIS – 1922 TO 2015

Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Adeline Rose Lewis, 93, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Center Avenue Rehabilitation Center in Fort Collins, Colorado. Adeline was born to William and Marion Umbehauer on May 15, 1922 in Newark, N.J. She was raised with her siblings, Dorthea and William and graduated high school in Highland Park, New Jersey. Adeline began her employment at Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick, New Jersey and in 1942 she married Raymond Frederick Lewis from Stelton, New Jersey.

Ray and Addie moved to Raritan Twp. (Edison), New Jersey shortly after their marriage and raised three boys, Raymond Jr, Ronald, and Scott. In 1992, Addie and Ray moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado where they enjoyed their retirement and grandchildren. Addie and Ray enjoyed 72 years of marriage and were truly soul mates. After her husband's passing in January 2014, Addie moved into the Winslow senior living center in Ft. Collins and kept busy with family visits, friends, facility activities, and walks along the grounds.

Addie enjoyed cooking, card parties, and family gatherings, often accompanied by delicious home cooked meals. She looked forward to family vacations, especially to the beach and on cruises.

Adeline is survived by her three sons, Raymond F. Lewis Jr of Millersville, Maryland, Ronald C. Lewis and his wife Linda of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Scott D. Lewis and his wife Patricia of Edison, New Jersey. Addie has six grandchildren, Bennett, Tara, Michael, Rylund, Alyson, and Dayna as well as six great grandchildren Lee, Colton, Logan, Michael, Braelyn, and Reese.

A family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Addie's life. In lieu of flowers memorial donations should be made to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Poudre Valley Hospital, Columbine Health Systems/The Winslow, and the Pathway Hospice personnel for their compassionate and loving care.
